Gujarat changed the Teachers Training changing its tradition

It happens only in Gujarat……..

Hon. Dr Kirit Joshi, The Educational Adviser to CM and Dr Hasamukh Adhiya, The Secretary of Gujarat Education Department gave the new vision to SSAM and GCERT. Sarva Shixa Abhiyan Mission Gujarat and GCERT broke all record and guided other states of India by changing face to face training tradition to Distance Mode (on air mode). Approximately 1.92 lakh teachers took benefits of face to face and on distance mode training directly. Teachers were tired by face to face training,that’s why the leaders of education department open the new door of training. It may be first time held by any Government of Indian state to give on air training. As per my knowledge IGNOU having distance mode education but they might have never trained 1.92 lakh students for four days face to face and distance mode education.

The moment was having great thrill in each and every teachers ,BRCc, CRCC and other educational staff on 21^st April ’09 by 11 am to hear “Namaskar, Welcome to four days training schedule held by SSAM and GCERT….” Dr T.S. Joshi, the principal of DIET, Gandhinagar changed the tradition by welcoming every one.

In these four days Teacher got training for accuracy in language, grammar of Gujarati language and got motivation by great gujarati personalities.

I would like to say that Dr Hasmukh Adhiya was on top to motivate teachers. He is the decision maker of policy in education who started by saying that “ I salute all teachers who is working in villages and all schools of Gujarat to brighten gujarat’s future. He guided teachers in his own style. He explained both side of the way teachers work in class. While listening him I felt that he know everything but its fact that only teacher them self can change their attitude because government is unable to take any kind of steps. The second motivator was Dr Ratilal Borisagar who motivate on second day of training. Sri Shahbuddin Rathod was also one of motivator for teachers on the fourth day who motivated and gave speech full of humor. Dr Ravindra Dave was also motivator for teachers. Dr M.N. Bhat, The Director of GCERT gave motivate speech daily. Mr Sanjaybhai Trivedi, Research Associate of GCERT, Mr Dineshbhai Desai , The Convener of Quality Enhance Cell coordinate whole programme wisely from 21^st to 24^th April 2009.

Dr Yogendra Vyash and Dr Ratilal Borisagar were the expert for the training who taught grammar, phonology and how to speak gujarati properly. 11 to 1 pm daily In on air mode they taught teachers and gave motivate speech and 2.30 to 5 they teach and gave answer of questions of teachers asked by calling or fax.

During off air mode the expert in class did activities to clear teachers doubts face to face.

Mr Shailesh Bava, The lecturer of DIET Gandhinagar, Mrs Mayaben Chauhan,Mr Dhirenbhai Patel, teacher sung all poems and poems of text books...

Now it’s my request to all teachers, that government gave us salary as per 6^th pay commission rules, Government give us in service training, give us all facilities to work so its real time to work for Gujarat….to built nation. Were ever we are, on which post we are... If start working as per the job chart no one can defeat us, no one can stop us to built “Aapanu Gujarat, Aagavu Gujarat….”new India…

Dr Adhiya Sir, You may know that many Principals are there who never visit the class to teach or motivate teachers, there are many teachers who do only administrative work instead of working in class.They spread massages’ that nothing happens if teacher work or not. Neither our department punishes those teachers who don’t work in class nor honor them who work round the clock and do innovate, creative class room experiment. The best teachers file makes by the teacher and submit in department to get Best Teacher Award that means teacher has to write for him self- “Jatana vakhan Jate j karva…” those who are award thirsty makes file and those who do creative works never try to write on themselves. They never think for award. Sir, as we know that a private school give very less salary and takes more and more works, The government announced 6^th pay and increased salary but is there any system to get more work? In our schools still we try to teach how to read Gujarati in std.7^th. It’s time to honor and punish teachers. It’s my humble request to held a colloquium with selected innovative teachers, CRCCs, BRCs, Education Inspectors, DPEO, DIETS lectures-Principals, SSAM and members of SRG to find out the reason, “why government gives everything but don’t get result in class ? What steps we need to take to make teachers work in class…?” I have hope that if you take all the needed steps guided in colloquium we can change the class room education also. We have to develop system to see live class room. Gujarat government gives books, Practice books, scholarship, to student , grant for TLM, grant for school development, grant for repairing building, attractive salary to teachers and many kind of support but still we have to run ‘Chalo Vanchiye…” in Schools..Many Students cannot read Gujarati, Hindi , English in std. 5^th to 7^th is shame for us…It is surprise that the student who don’t know to read or write, the students who cannot count in std 5^th to 7^th pass the examination with good marks …why don’t we take any kind of step?? We cannot change the class room education, until the department takes hard steps. Whatever we give support, facilities or on air training to teachers may vanish in thin air. Sir, I heard you on air and felt happy. I must proud that we have great C.M Sri Modiji and great gujarati officers like you. Please think about it, sir…
