We miss you Pragati

It was 18^th January 2009. I was driving car in Ahmadabad on the way to Care India’s Gujarat office on C.G.Road to attend a meeting. I got a call from my younger brother Vimal. His voice was slow and charmless. He said me that, “Ketanbhai, chhokari aavi…-means Ketanbhai baby girl born…” for a while I was shocked to listen. I manage myself and said him, “Don’t worry, she will bring luck for you…now there will be progress – pragati in your life…we will call her Pragati….I will keep her with me” I called my father and said him to manage all family members as she was second female baby to my younger brother… she gave me strength ….I reached hospital in the evening and found my brother was angry and disappoint because….

…. My younger brother Vimal called me over phone and said that his wife is pregnant and he is planning to make abortion because doctor said that there is female baby. He has a 3 years female baby and it may be second one. I said him that need not to trust local doctor and take the kind of decision. Have faith on God. Take her to some another doctors. He took him to another 2 well known doctors and both of them said that there is a male baby. After 3-4 month once again he called me and said that he has decided to remove baby because the doctor said that there is problem on a leg…the baby may born handicap. Once again I insist him not to worry saw to good doctor and do the proper treatment. If female baby or male baby born with any defect I will keep with me as my own baby. I and my father stopped him to do so. I have a son and I am dying to have my own second baby I thought it is God’s order to follow. If God want to give me handicap baby or female baby I decided to take …We saw few other well-known gynecologist and they said that baby is healthy and need not to worry…. I think God has decided to give birth and baby has decided to get birth in any condition…

13^th February 2009 was bad day for me… I was in bed…My cell phone was ringing…It was call from my brother…He said that he need cradle for Pragati…He started loving her madly…I said that we have cradle at home which is useless for us, he can take for Pragati…When he came to take it with his friend he heard that my wife scolding me because I told my brother to take cradle…There was no other option for him rather than to take, he took cradle at home…I got ready and reached Gandhinagar to attend a meeting at Unicef. I came back by 5 pm and found cradle is back at our home…I rang up my brother and came to know that he had bought new cradle for Pragati…Saws that Mother and Father always love their kids in any kind of situation…I was so happy to know that the person who was ready to remove baby before birth fallen in love…Thanked God…and went to attend a marriage party with my wife, son and my brother’s 3 years younger daughter Bansari…We had our dinner there and enjoying party with friends and family. My brother called and said that, “ Keatnbhai come fast at hospital, Pragati is no more…He was crying as he lost everything he got.”I was speechless…reached at his home and found that Pragati closed her eye for ever…I thought to give her good education, to make her on top and make her marriage..It was my dream like other father...In few days she became the reason to live, It was unforgetable heart beat stopped sock for me..It was her journey for 27 days on earth in our family…taught a lesson which no one can teach…realize the life…proved that if God want to give birth no one can stop…God is great…have faith in him...For me Pragati is alive...

Last year in the month of August when abortion was decided by my brother and we stopped him to do so, I mailed my all friends 2 Power Point Presentation on Abortion. On Mother’s Day I have posted in blog as bellow to leave a message that God have all power to give birth or take us back. We have no right to kill…

We celebrate Mother’s Day by giving flowers and wish our mother by calling her. Instead of doing it we should keep our mother – father happy always. In our culture we have daily Parent Days. In maximum case Females either mother or sister suggest and create pressure for abortion…if they come to know that they are going to have second or third female baby. In T.V programme we see that Mother in law fights with their son wife…sisters think that their brother’s wife is enemy…In short Females are enemy of female… Can’t we saw that all female live together happily??Let’s celebrate mother’s day differently this year…let the mother born..stop if anybody is going for abortion because it’s my own experience if we try to kill we cannot and if god decide he can take back…that’s why God is great…have faith…
